Arsenal have failed to reach an agreement to sign Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyökeres, with Sporting’s management confirming no official deal has been made. Arsenal tried to secure the player ahead of their pre-season tour in Asia but negotiations ended without a transfer.
Gyökeres is known for his blend of technical skill and physical strength and was expected to be a key addition for Arsenal’s attack.
Sporting president Frederico Varandas stated the club is not planning to sell Gyökeres at this time, confirming the player will remain in Lisbon as part of the team’s new plans.
